Thiruvidanthai is a small coastal area located in the outskirts of Chennai city, nestled strategically along the Bay of Bengal, offering breathtaking views of tranquil beaches, serene aura, and rich cultural heritage. Positioned on the East Coast Road (ECR), the village sits between Chennai's southern suburbs and Mahabalipuram, making it a quiet coastal stretch that is steadily attracting plotted developments and villa projects.

The locality's biggest cultural landmark is the Nithya Kalyana Perumal temple, situated in the village of Thiruvidanthai on the ECR (East Coast Road), and counted among the 108 divyadesams revered in Vaishnavite tradition. The area's low-density character, beachfront proximity and improving ECR connectivity make it a distinct alternative to the busier OMR-IT corridor further inland.
